The best way to get to get that appointment is to keep calling. Here’s some statistics for you;
- 2% of sales-made on first contact
- 3% of sales-made on second contact
- 5% of sales-made on third contact
- 10% of sales-made on fourth contact
- 80% of sales-made on fifth to twelfth contact
Ultimately you want and need to be making 5 to 12 contacts with the person to make that appointment, the statistics prove it! You may be thinking “how am I going to make my target if I must call that person so many times?” a tip to share about lead generation and the “cold calling” that comes with it, be persistent but keep your call flow steady and structured.
Make your notes while talking to your prospect, it decreases procrastination and gets you onto your next call within 30 seconds. The more calls you make the more of a chance you will make your target set for you and getting the prospect you need.
